Tracey Bailey won re-election as mayor of Lakeshore with 8,399 votes, according to unofficial results released on Monday. The outcome gave her a decisive lead over her two main challengers in the race for the municipal seat.
Argo Pace finished second with 1,782 votes, while Sam Sinjari placed third with 1,399 votes. Bailey’s victory margin exceeded 6,600 votes, marking a clear preference among the electorate for the incumbent over the opposition candidates.
Bailey campaigned on her 12 years of combined experience on the city council, including roles as a councillor, deputy mayor, and mayor. She described her victory as a solid result that confirms the current trajectory for the city is correct for its residents.
“Under my leadership we’ve seen tremendous investment in Lakeshore. We’ve pulled in around $100 million over the last four years, which is really significant,” Bailey said. She added that the city is ready for construction to begin and that the administration will hit the ground running immediately.
Bailey characterized the result as a clear mandate from voters. “I just feel thrilled to know that the residents of Lakeshore are supportive, that I have a clear mandate, and that I’m moving forward with their blessing,” she said.
Her campaign pledged a focus on infrastructure investment, protecting affordability, and building complete communities. These priorities were central to her pitch as Lakeshore continues its population growth.
